I knew Lynn, her childhood family, her cousin, and her friends. Lynn's childhood family made me welcome in their home.
We were friends, during my senior year, when Lynn was a junior. That was 1968. Lynn wrote letters to me in 1969, when I was in the Vietnam War, which I greatly appreciate. Then we reconnected as friends, when I returned to civilian life. We later drifted apart when I went off to college and then drifted apart again in 1978 when I moved out-of-state to accept a job offer. I never communicated with Lynn again.
Then a friend of the Cahoon family notified me in December 2014 that Lynn had died on August 4, 2014. I was very distraught, upon hearing the news. That motivated me to notify this alumni website and to create the following virtual memorial at FindAGrave.com:
