At his home in Fairfax, VA, on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, Robert L. Kinter departed this life at the age of 62. Bob, beloved son of Alice G. Kinter and the late Lynn S. Kinter, is survived by his sister Barbara K. Kunkel (Dennis) of West Bloomfield, MI, and William T. Kinter (Marci) of Oakton, VA. He is also survived by his nieces Jennifer K. Rand, Crista R. Kunkel, Cara L. Kunkel and Melissa L. Kinter, and his nephew Christopher A. Kinter. Friends and relatives may visit with the family on Friday, December 27 at the Everly Funeral Home, Fairfax, VA from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 28 at Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6201 N. Washington Boulevard, Arlington, VA. Interment immediately following at National Memorial Park. Bob was born in Sewickley, PA on April 30, 1951. He graduated from J.E.B Stuart High School in Falls Church, VA, in 1969 where he was a coxswain on the crew and a drummer in the band. Artistically inclined, Bob received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University and spent the majority of his career in the commercial arts field, including the Hecht Company. His final job was with HD Supply. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to VCU Foundation, c/o Tom Burke, Robert L. Kinter Memorial Gift, 909 W. Franklin Street, Box 842039, Richmond, VA 23284.
