My wife of 40 years and I have lived the lives of wondering professionals. We met at Virginia Tech while getting our original degrees in Forestry. She later went on with a B.S. and Masters in Engineering and I did a Masters and Ph.D. in village and countryside planning. Much of our time has been spent in the Pacific Northwest where we lived in Montana, Oregon, and Washington State. We're now happily retired in the Cascades of Washington. I spent 16 years in legislative politics, 10 years as a professor at Virginia Tech, and 15 years as a county or city planning director. We still ski and trek the great trails of the world having done 10's of thousands of miles. Never could settle down. One of these days it will come to an end but until then...keep on trucking old friends.

Football -- I've spent a lifetime with a fused back and SI joint along with shots of Botox to keep me moving down the trail thanks to major surgery 4 years later coming out of Stuart Football. I have to say I have smooth butt from all the Botox. Loved the game - loved my teammates - loved old Gerry Fauls - but there has been many a day in the last 45 years that I didn't think those big winning seasons of 68' and 69' were necessarily worth it. Mothers think twice about letting your sons play the game. They may hate you now but thank you later.
