Barbara Ring (Cummings) (1974)

Marina was one of my most loyal friends. She stuck by me through thick and thin. She visited me in upstate New York before her death in 1977. We were overseas in Italy at the time of her death. She had transferred to the University of California and was killed by a drunk driver. She remains in my heart.

I continue to miss Marina, who was a sweet, kind, exuberant girl and who gave cheer where and when it was needed most. She was, and still is, loved.

Marcella (Marcy) Foreman (Palmer) (1966)

I remember Marina very well, as her family lived right across the street from us and she was a student at the Virginia Ballet Company and school, where I studied.  I was living in California when my mother called to tell me that Marina had been killed in a head-on collision on the freeway in Southern California by someone going the wrong direction.  It haunts me to this day....  She was a beautiful girl, very sweet and I know that her mother never recovered from the horrible tragedy of losing Marina at such a young age.
