Life timeline since high school: BA, Broadcast Communications, University of Miami, 1982; married (Ernest Lissabet, Hialeah, FL), 1984; Arlington County Dept of Parks, Recreation and Community Resources (DPRCR) 1987, moved to Fairfax City, 1989; birth of son (Alexander Philip) 1991; became a motorcyclist, 1996; published two articles (Women on Wheels Magazine, 1999 and The Scottish Rite Journal, 1999), joined the Cultural Affairs Division of DPRCR, 2000; five-month acting manager of the Ellipse Art Gallery in Arlington, 2004; started the George Mason University Arts Management degree program, 2005; Arts Program Manager in Cultural Affairs, 2006; Fairfax High School Theatre Booster Board, 2008-2009 (accompanied the Theatre class on a trip to London, 2009); Israel (1) 2010; Artisphere Cultural Center in Rosslyn, 2010; Masters in Arts Management, 2011; Israel (2) 2012, Board of Directors, Wildlife Rescue League, 2013-2014 and 2015-2016. RETIRED (but still active); working on a business plan for a medical cannabis dispensary in West Virginia. (Looking for funders, board members and/or partners!)

Member of the Stuart Color Guard 1977-1979 (most vivid memory: having the flag slide out of my gloved hands mid-twirl during a 1/2 time performance at a homecoming game!)

However, my most vivid memory of my time at Stuart was being suspended during the week of senior finals - for "walking out" in support of higher teacher pay. As it was the only time I had ever been "in trouble" in school, it did not leave me with a willingness to engage in civil protests or a favorable impression of my high school days. (And teachers STILL aren't paid enough for what they do!)
