Jerry Fauls. One of the only people at Stuart who gave me any credit for being human.

George Clark (Clark) (1968)

In my senior year, Mr. Fauls told me that he would not let me graduate unless I cut my sideburns. That was 1968.

In hindsight, he meant it for my own good. Mr. Fauls probably wanted me to look my best going to job interviews and whatever else after graduation.

Today's youth could benefit from that same variety of discipline where youth are required to obey rules and show respect for authority. But instead, if a teacher today tells a student to get a haircut or whatever, that teacher would be at risk of losing their job. And the consequence is that today's youth stay in trouble and run wild.
