Clifford Blaney Obituary
Clifford (Cliff) Eugene Blaney, 68, of Fort Mill, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2021. He was born in Oakland, California on December 4, 1952 to William C. and Evelyn L. Blaney.
Upon graduating from J.E.B. Stuart High School in Falls Church, VA, he enlisted in the Navy. Cliff was a proud veteran who served in the United States Navy from 1972-1976. He then worked for UPS for 20 years before retiring in 1999. Cliff loved to play tennis and became a USTA umpire/referee. He was an avid fisherman and loved nothing more than spending the day by the water.
He is survived by his wife, Jane White; his children, Katie Martinez Rojas (Tavo) and Doug Blaney; his brothers, William Tillman and Gary Blaney; his sister, Beverly Meehan; Jane’s daughters, Jennifer White and Julie Newlands (John); and his seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by both of his parents.
Cliff was very involved in the community in which he and Jane lived in. He loved to play Euchre, Bocce Ball, and walking the neighborhood stopping and talking to his friends. We can find comfort in knowing he can finally eat to his heart’s content.
A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, January 8 at 11am at Forest Hill Church in Fort Mill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
