Charles Clarence Curtis II August 18, 1952 - September 14, 2024 Charles Clarence Curtis ll, 72, of Sebring, Florida, born in Lewiston, Idaho, passed away on September 14, 2024 due to complications after surgery. He is survived by his two sisters Anne Fisher (Bill) of Succasunna, New Jersey and Nancy Burger (John) of Fredericksburg, Virginia. He is also survived by two nephews Andrew Fisher and Nicholas Burger, two nieces Mary Coscia and Jessica Burger, three great nephews and two great nieces. Chuck was preceded in death by his father Colonel Charles Harry Curtis and mother Stella Marie Curtis. Chuck graduated in 1971 from JEB Stuart High School in Falls Church, Virginia. He then attended Troy State University. Chuck spent his career in sales, including many years as a car salesman in Fredericksburg, Virginia. It was often said that "he could sell an ice box to an Eskimo." Chuck was also a Navy veteran. In his spare time, he loved Bass fishing and always had a gift for finding the best fishing spots. He could pick just the perfect tackle to lure in " a big one." Chuck was also known as a great storyteller; boy, could he tell a "Whopper" of a story. Chuck also cheered the loudest in the crowd for his favorite high school baseball teams, Courtland High School (Spotsylvania, Virginia) and Sebring High School (Sebring, Florida). Expressions of sympathy can be made in honor of Chuck with a donation to Sebring High School Athletics (Baseball Program). He was an avid supporter of the school's baseball team. Chuck also wanted his vast collection of fishing gear to be donated to the school to start a fishing club. The family is eternally grateful for all the love and support Chuck was given from his dear friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 1300 Augustine Avenue, Fredericksburg, Virginia. https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/fredericksburg/name/charles-curtis-obituary?id=56386160
