Michael William Schulte
May 5, 1953 – November 12, 2013
Dr. Michael W. Schulte DDS, 60 years old of Fairfax Station, Virginia went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2013. He was born May 5, 1953 in Duluth, Minnesota to Richard L. and Honor A. Schulte. Michael is survived by his loving wife Rita, daughter Ashley and husband Dr. Alex Wurm, and son Michael and wife Ida Osman. His cherished grandchildren Taylor Isabella Wurm, Madison Rose Wurm, Scarlett Grace Wurm, Michael Christian Schulte II, Sisters: Honor E. Schulte-Usui, Heather M. Sabin, Jennifer S. Richards, Victoria J. Lester Brothers: Mark S. Schulte, Grant S. Schulte. Sister-In-Law: Evette Schulte. 17 Nieces and Nephews, 14 Great Nieces and Nephews. Mike is preceded in death by: Father: Richard L. Schulte and Mother-In-Law: Albert (Chief) Alessandrelli and Rose Alessandrelli Brother: Richard A. Schulte and Nephew: Nathan Schulte.
He graduated from JEB Stuart High School, Falls Church, VA where he excelled in wrestling. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from George Mason University and his DDS from The Medical College of Virginia. Michael practiced dentistry in Stafford, VA for 30+ years.
Michael was well known and will be remembered in the community for being tender hearted and caring. He provided extensive pro bono dental care to the less fortunate in the community, often after they had been turned away from other practices. He spent a lot of his time and energy supplying love and dental care to orphans in Nicaragua as well as building and maintaining an orphanage and school. His other passions included flying his plane, and showering selfless love and support on his family and friends. Michael had an incredible zest for life and will be truly missed by all. A funeral service will be Sunday, November 17, 2013 1:00 pm at National Funeral Home 7482 Lee Highway Falls Church, VA 22042. Interment will immediately follow at National Memorial Park at 3:00 pm.
