Reginald's Story

Reginald Wayne Clarke (Reggie), son of the late Benjamin Clarke and Melba Bigelow, entered this world on July 15, 1958, in Alexandria, Virginia. He attended the public schools of Falls Church, VA and was a graduate of J.E.B. Stuart High School. At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and attended Warner Baptist Church. He remained a believer throughout his life.

In 1983, Reginald was given two gifts named ReLita and ReNita Clarke. The Lord loved him so much, he was given three more gifts named Reginald Clarke II, Shannon Clarke, and Nicolas Clarke. Reggie, also shared over25 years with his beautiful life partner, Sharon Talley.

Reginald, also known as Big Red or Reggie, loved to have a good time. You could count on him to be the life of the party. He loved to go fishing. You could catch him at Virginia Beach whenever he got the chance. He also loved motorcycles. He owned a candy applered KC 1000. However, that motorcycle was not his only red possession. Everyone who knew Reggie knew that when he showed up, he would be sharp! He would especially wear his infamous red suit if he really wanted to show out. Above all these things, he loved dancing with his children in the kitchen and spending quality time at family gatherings.

As a result of his generous spirit and outgoing personality, he was loved by many. Often said to be a legend of his own mind, he did his life his way and his influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. He quietly departed this life Monday, December 20, 2021, in Woodbridge, VA at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Clarke,

Melba Bigelow and sister Dee Dee.

His wonderful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: ReLita Clarke, ReNita Clarke, Reginald Clarke II, Shannon Clarke and Nicolas Clarke; three grandchildren, David Solomon III, Cayden Clarke, and Gianna Clarke; Life Partner Sharon Talley; brother, Victor Clarke; sisters

Deandria Clarke, Claudia Clarke-Brown, Deborah (Leonard) Smith and Sharon Porter; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
