Amy West (Good) (1982)

I met Lisa McKinley when we were in 3rd grade together.  We had the meanest teacher in Beech Tree Elementary, Mrs. Barbie.  Our friendship grew through the years all through high school and beyond.  Lisa died January 27th, 2012,  losing a battle to alcoholism and Cirrhorsis of the liver while waiting for a transplant.  Here is her obituary:

Lisa Lundy, 48, born in Alexandria, VA, passed away in Colorado Springs after a long illness. Lisa was predeceased by her father Thomas F. McKinley of Colorado Springs and her step-father Lee Beebe of Cary, NC. She is survived by her daughter Amanda Fay Tagliati of Colorado Springs; mother Fay Beebe, sister Laura Dale and husband Ian, brother Lee McKinley and two nephews Robert and William Dale, all of Cary, NC. Lisa also leaves behind her pug "Toby" and her kitten, rescued from the Humane Society. Lisa resided in Falls Church and Manassas, VA until 1996 when she moved to Colorado Springs where she enjoyed the beautiful mountains. Lisa was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She had a deep love for animals and worked as a vet's assistant and a dog groomer for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care of Colorado Springs or to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. Condolences may be made online or sent to her mother at 110 Drywood Place, Cary, NC 27513. "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams." -Thoreau

I found Lisa after attempting to locate her for a couple of months.  She was visiting her mother in Cary, NC when we talked on the phone.  She was going to come visit Jon Loeffler and I in FLorida but she never showed up.  I found out after speaking with her mother, that she wanted to clean up and went back to Colorado Springs, where she fell very ill and passed before the doctors could locate a liver for her.

Rest in Peace Lisa - I will always cherish the fun memories we created!  There are lots of them!
